Sylica was once again confused by the man's hesitation,"what don't i understand? I've been visiting the place for almost nine years now, even though I live in the desert I can assure you I don't have the desert's attitude. After all I may be a bounty hunter, but I make sure all targets come back alive, though no promises about unconsciousness! That's my motto, though I do make a few certain exceptions..." Her tone cheerful throughout the whole statement, but then took a vengeful tone at the end.
Sylica nodded,"possibly, he was definitely going away form the meteor, there were no other tracks other than mine going towards it, so either he can fly and crash landed, or something beyond science is at work here...but what do I know?" She shrugged with an uneasy grin plastered on her face.

Sylica's grin quickly turns to a face that says 'oh no,' as she has a moment of realization."Wait there were no tracks leading to the meteorite sit other than mine, I checked. That means, either he can float above the sand, or he might be the meteorite...nah!" Her face quickly switched to a grin again her hands waving away the notion from her mind."I'm not the scientist type, but even I know that even with a specialized core, it would be extremely difficult to even not become a splatter on the ground, let alone survive and walk away from it!"

Sieghl pulled the oxygen tank off his back and set it and its mask near Vira. "If he keeps hyperventilating, try this. If he's been exposed to something unusual, it may help." As the self-proclaimed bounty hunter just kept going on, he let her words go in one ear and out the other, only catching some key words. Something about her theories struck something in him, but he wasn't sure what it could be.
Running one finger along the man's cloak through the strange sediment, Sieghl looked at it smeared on his skin, and sniffed it cautiously. He then pulled a clear, glass vial from his pack and scooped up some of the debris and inspected it more closely.

Vira thanks Sieghl for the help, but hesitates before taking the oxygen equipment herself for the sake of any metal she might accidentally brush against. Fortunately one of the Selkie kneels beside her to help her with it and she goes back to attempting to heal the man.
Sieghl's analysis of the sediment proves quite peculiar. Strange as it is, Sylica may have some kind of point. After examining it with his abilities, he is able to confirm that the mineral analysis of the detritus proves it should only be possible if the object had come from space, such as ice / rock content from a comet.

"Fascinating," Sieghl mutters to himself, looking at the screen of the diagnostic accessory secured to his arm. He stares at the vial of strange sediment attached to the accessory that shouldn't be on a person. Was the man rolling around in the crater of the meteorite? "Miss...um...I never did catch your name, sorry. But you said you found him near the crater that the meteorite fell in. Did you examine the crash site? Was there anything else there? Rock or debris from whatever fell?" He looked over at the man. "Maybe he was investigating the site too, but why would he be out without protection? Could he have picked up whatever fell?" He suddenly felt the selfish desire to search the man's belongings in case he did happen to pick something up.

Sylica looked at the man and snapped out from her sort-of panic," oh, sorry about that. Names Sylica Veronskia, bounty hunter extraordinaire and loyal friend to justice!" She said with gusto,"all I did was look for tracks to see if people were hurt, if you need me to I can escort you there and guard you while you perform your research. Speaking of hurt we aren't going anywhere until we know how to heal this guy, unless we have to go there to help him of course."

Sieghl nodded as the woman introduced herself, completely thrown off by her excitable manner of speech. He grew indignant as she finished speaking though. "Of course we're going to help him first! What do you take me for?" Despite saying this, what he really wanted to do was get back to his research. He was beginning to feel self-conscious around all these onlookers, enough that he was becoming defensive. He knelt beside Vira to distract himself.
"I suggest we bring him inside and perhaps a warm bath might be in order. I would like to examine him in case there are any trace elements of whatever might have affected him so badly out there. An allergic reaction might explain some of these symptoms. I also want to see if there's any source for the strange sediment I found."

Vira agrees with Sieghl while murmuring distractedly. "There is another problem. His body..." She hesitates before going on not sure how to explain. "It is injured from exposure, certainly, but perhaps more importantly.... it is foreign. Alien. Unknown to me." She put her hands down and gestured at his chest "My healing abilities cannot find his circulatory system. It is always possible technology could be masking it, but I find no trace of technology that I can pinpoint. I am unsure what to make of him."
She looks down studying the man "And I have healed Human, Lycan, Vampyre, even..." her voice breaks off for a second "....others of my kind. He is unlike me, or others I know of. I am at a bit of a loss as to treating him."

Sylica looks confused at the statements,"so your saying that this guys doesn't have a circulatory system? How is this guy even alive?! Does he even have blood?! How do we heal him if he doesn't have anything to be healed?!" She rasped out while slowly remembering to breath.
She gave a worried glance at the two,"how do we heal him then? Is there anyone who can, if so I'll take him there myself if I have to...After I get a wagon I can pull him around in, because my back still aches from carrying him here." She said while stretching out said part of her body.

Vira looked at Sylica curiously, then patted her on the shoulder. Sylica feels a strange sensation from the fae woman and her back calms down. Some sort of healing power? Could these things like her even have Cores?
"No, what I'm saying is I cannot recognize his body systems. They are as unfamiliar to me as you trying to give me emergency aid would knowing only of your own race's physiology. He is most certainly alive but... his body is unlike our own. Sieghl, you are more apprised of scientific matters, what recourse should we take. I am certain now his life is not in immediate danger but..."

Sieghl motioned for the Selkies that came over to set the stretcher down. "So, unfamiliar body systems, unconscious from exposure to the elements, unusual particles found on his clothes, strange swirling eyes. This is shaping up to be quite the mystery."
Well no choice but to get to work. Pointing to a young female, he commands, "Asherah, gather a few helpers and prepare one of the rooms in the med house and heat some water from the purest pool available. Do not, I repeat, do NOT use water from the pipes, just in case he shares a particular allergy with Vira." Nodding at Vira, he concedes, "Yes, I know it's not quite to that extent with you, but I want to play it safe regardless. I want to examine him in a sterile environment. Vira, I might need your healing expertise. I have gloves so that you don't accidentally touch anything harmful. Sylica..." He paused, looking at the dust-covered bounty hunter. "Since I don't believe you be satisfied until you know more about his condition, you will help me. You need to tell me anything, no matter how inconsequential, that you know about this man; how exactly you found him, anything strange you encountered along the way here. If you want to help with the examination, you will thoroughly wash yourself and re-dress in clean clothes that will be provided to you. I don't trust anything that you carry isn't contaminated by the outside."
Sieghl began positioning the man in the best way to move him to the stretcher with the least amount of agitation, murmuring to the man almost inaudibly, "You are turning out to be quite interesting, sir. I will do the best I can to make sure you are as comfortable as possible until you wake up and then you can tell us just what the hell you were doing out in the Wastelands so unprepared." He looked over at the group of Selkies still standing there. "If Ziridel returns any time soon, tell her that there is something urgent that needs her attention and bring her to us."

Sylica feels that her back suddenly stop aching and looks at the strange woman in shock,"Did you just heal me...without technology....?" She looked in disbelief at the realization and stared for a few moments, before almost immediately hugging the woman," thank you sooooo much!!!"
Sylica excitedly nodded at the proposition of a shower,"I would love to take one! I don't get to that often since I live in the desert and all...but anyway I'll tell you what I know, its the least I can do for helping him!" She exclaimed as she started removing her more bulky clothing such as her cloak and jacket.

Vira looks shocked at the hug, but goes along with it. "You're something of a nomad then, traveling the desert... what did you say you do for a living?" She seems hesitant but is opening up to the woman a bit more.
Several Selkies help Sieghl move the man to the stretcher and carry him to a clean room. Ziridel and other human researchers who frequent the place do not seem to be around, so there's that at least.

Sylica released the woman from the hug and replied,"I'm a bounty hunter! I hunt bad people in the name of justice, though only the reeeeeealy bad ones I actually kill, the rest are in the jail here! Speaking of which I need to go say hello while I'm in town."

Sieghl asks one of the women to take Sylica to a room where she can clean up and then bring her here when she's ready. A pair of assistants have already set the man on a metal table in the clean room. He makes sure all doors and windows are closed to ensure at least some privacy for the man. He proceeds to disrobe him gently and places his clothes in a large bag for him to examine later. He checks the man for further injuries that could have been concealed by clothes. The tattoo on his chest catches his eye and he files it away to look at in more detail later. Right now, he wants to get this man clean and clothed and in a soft bed. Sieghl sighs, wishing that someone with more medical expertise was here to help him. All he could do was his best, he supposed.
His assistants helped him place the man in a plain, ceramic, claw-footed bathtub. Something drudged up from storage, most likely. It would work well for his purposes though. The water was pure and room-temperature. Warm if the man was cold, but cool enough that it would be refreshing if too hot. Dirt and debris came off him as Sieghl scrubbed him down delicately, not wanting to injure the man further if he had unknown sensitivities. He wanted to finish this part swiftly before Vira and Sylica arrived. Sieghl knew he got embarrassed being naked in front of others while awake, so he wanted to spare this man the embarrassment of being around a pair of attractive women in such a state whilst unconscious. While the man soaked, Sieghl asked his assistants to prepare the bed.
Once finished and dried, the three of them together carried the man to the bed, where Sieghl dressed him in soft white cotton. He dismissed the two Selkies and then inspected the man, taking a closer look at the tattoo on his chest and the shifting colors in his eyes.

Sylica took a more excited tone at the mentioning of a shower,"yesyesyesyes! I would love to take one! Do you know how hard it is to get a good bath in the desert? Its hard...so I usually just jump in the pools of water here when I deliver a bounty!" She then started to strip off her jacket, pants and backpack and handed it to a nearby selkie, leaving herself in a white t-shirt and matching white shorts with two holsters hanging on her belt.
After stripping down she looked at the man,"of course I'll help, he's my responsibility until we can cure him."

The slight-framed Selkie woman that the bounty hunter deposited her items onto looked rather surprised and then smiled bemusedly. "No need to strip here. We have private rooms and bathhouses. She led Sylica to a small private room with an attached shower and bath. Setting her things down on the small cot in the corner. "Sieghl doesn't like any kind of dirt or anything like that in his research rooms. You can clean up and I'll send some food over as soon as possible. Take your time and enjoy your bath. Just pop on out and find someone when you're ready."
The Selkie opened the door and got ready to leave before turning her head back around, "Oh, and please don't jump into our pools unless it's the bathhouse. Some of them are rather sensitive."

Sylica stripped down completely as the woman was talking nodding at the no jumping into our pools of clean water statement."Yeah, it wont happen anymore! I didn't know there were bathhouses here!"
As Sylica finished her shower she stepped out of the room she started to put back on her clothing, finally putting on her belt and holsters. As she did that she looked at the name inscribed on one of the revolvers,"Veronskia..." she said in a small whisper as tears started to flow down her eyes,"don't worry mom, dad, if this guy is what I think he is...You'll be avenged...." She said, still trembling while putting the gun back into its proper holster. She then sat down and wiped her tears from her face,"I'll kill the corruption in that city responsible, I swear..."

As they are getting ready to examine the man, there is a sudden shaking from outside. Looking up, it is clear beyond the normal rolling stormclouds that plague wasteland there is something else happening. The surging brightness from the sun can only indicate that it is acting up again. With a rumble of the ground, the power in all of Indemni flickers briefly.

The same woman who escorted her there knocked and popped her head through the door after Sylica finished getting dressed, missing her emotional turmoil by mere moments. She cocked her head at the bounty hunter and asked, "Are you ready? Sieghl likely won't wait on you if you take too long. He's finicky like that. Don't mind his brusque nature. He's not really a people person." She smiled kindly at Sylica.
Elsewhere: Sieghl glanced outside at the strange rumbling. The dome between the citizens of Indemni and the harsh Wasteland outside wasn't fragile enough that simple natural disasters would breach it. It took a lot of Selkies a long time to create enough of the strange translucent material to build the dome and it was maintained in some way by the Selkies. No non-Selkie could discover this secret even though Cathedral had tried since Indemni's creation. This was one reason Cathedral left them be most of the time. The Selkies were powerful beings, powerful allies when one chose to join the cause, but very protective of their secrets. He gasped when the power flickered, looking out at the Selkies gathered, looking up. Sieghl followed their gaze and felt fear in his chest when he saw the surge of brightness. Maybe the Astrologers were right, and the stars were aligning for some kind of catastrophe. He snorted and scolded himself for even contemplating such superstitious drivel. He hurried back to the man to see if there was any change, wondering vaguely whether his appearance and these strange sun disturbances were related somehow. Sieghl pulled back the mans eyelid once more to see the coruscating shades of blue.
