Player Name: Stonelark
Character Name: Rook Tor….or is it Maya?
Home World: Krilia
Currently Resides: Cathedral
Age: 27
Gender: Physically male and identifies as male part of the time, but female at other times. It truly depends on who is the primary personality at the time.
Race: Human
Appearance info: Rook has waist-length coppery red hair. Tall with a slender build and can pass for an elegant man or a seductive woman depending on how he feels that day...or time of day. He has bright green eyes and sometimes wears glasses, though he does not need them; sometimes a person needs to be perceived as weak to gain the advantage. Rook dresses in clean, pressed pants and vest with a button up shirt underneath. It varies whether he'll wear a tie or cravat and he always wears a long black coat. Maya will dress in anything from long fancy dresses to fishnets and short skirt.
Personality info: Rook's personality changes depending on who he is at the time. When he's Rook, he's slightly psychotic, probably stemming from his work as a mercenary for Cathedral and people he's killed. When he's on a mission, he's obedient to people of authority in the Cathedral hierarchy and typically does what he's told. When Rook becomes Maya, his personality changes almost completely. She's polite and gets along with almost everyone. She might dress like a noblewoman one day and a hooker the next depending on how she feels. No matter how she's dressed, she likes cute things and might take a shine to someone if she thinks they are cute. She’ll listen to orders on missions as long as it suits her fancy. Cathedral likes dealing with Rook more than Maya but they have to take what they get on that particular day.
Relationship info: Is he male, or is she female? Flirting with men...or women??? Rook is mostly a loner and could be classified as an introvert as he dislikes interacting with people in a mundane way. He has some kind of connection to Deacon Kors from early childhood. Maya on the other hand, loves talking and interacting with people. She often uses her “feminine wiles” to get her way.
Profession: Rook works as a mercenary in the employ of Cathedral’s government and he enjoys his job probably a little too much. Maya is well-versed in many instruments and moonlights at a local music den. She enjoys using her core’s abilities for less destructive endeavors.
Fighting Style: His core allows him to manipulate his voice. He is able to resonate different tones to cause physical damage or to lull someone to sleep. His scream is comparable to a banshee.
Lore Talents: Musicality, Nondetection
Patron: Olemidh
Unique Racial Features: His Kymere Core is located in his throat, at his voice box.
Arsenal: His glasses have surveillance and recording technology in them.
Backstory: Rook's father, Corbin, is pretty high up in the hierarchy of Cathedral. Rook's mother was merely a trophy to Corbin and only married him because of a contract between their families. Corbin was never faithful to his wife and at worst, treated her like a punching bag and nothing but a body to warm his bed when he was home. Rook always received the best of everything: education, clothing, music lessons, and when he reached the proper age, a Kymere core. Corbin took advantage of this and he threw his son to experimentation in Rook's preteen years to be rid of him under the guise of wanting nothing but the best for him. As the experiments commenced, his voice box was rendered useless. This was a plus for Corbin since he wouldn't have to listen to Rook speak and the experiments left Rook bone-tired so he couldn't defend his mother. When the experiments finally began to bear fruit, Rook was able to use his new powers to soothe his mother to sleep after a hard night. After a few years he was able to control it enough that he began to plan. He was being educated to follow in his father's footsteps but he wanted nothing to do with the man. When he turned 17, he executed the plan he'd been formulating for years. He killed his father, and was not punished for it. He played the victim well. This was only the first taste of death that caused him to want to kill more and more. He knew he couldn't do it blatantly in front of the law, so he trained to fight and became a hunter in the employment of Cathedral.
