Somewhere past the oily traces of a body of water, you can step to the top of a sand dune and see a crater that wasn't there the day before.
It is hard to tell what may have once streaked through the night sky and landed in this spot, but the scorched crater leaves the impression that something was here, and recently.

The salt flats were cruel and unforgiving, a novice would die easily within a few days. Especially now because of the odd phenomenon in the area. Odd weather was a common sight in the salt flats, recently though, these changes were noticed by one of the desert's few residents. The cloaked figure trudging up a large sand dune to see what had woken her up from a well deserved rest. As they reached the top, they pulled back the hood of their cloak to reveal sandy blonde hair covered head, with eyes covered with tinted goggles. The woman sighed as she looks down at the still smoldering crater that lay before her.'Great, as if firestorms weren't enough...oh well. This is to be expected living out here.' She thought to herself while started to head down the dune, pulling out a revolver labeled 'Sylica.'

At the bottom of the crater, Sylica examines the empty scorched hole. The sand here has crystallized from the heat of whatever impacted, but there is no trace of the meteorite remaining. Searching the immediate area shows no trace of anything foreign... but someone must have come here and carried off whatever did land here, she infers. Renewing her search to outside the impact point, Sylica tracks around the dunes for signs or transport, and sure enough, eventually her skill at [Investigation] turns up something. Headed away from the point of impact to the east there are faint signs of footprints.

At this revelation she pulled out a second revolver, this one labeled 'Veronskia.' She reapplied the cloak and started to follow the trail into the desert meanwhile thinking about the different possibilities.
'More than likely its those damn idiots at Citadel, never could keep their grubby little mitts off of something that could more than likely could make them a few bucks...or bandits, might be bandits. Is there a difference between the two really?...Nah.' she thought to herself as she walked along the sandy path to some people that were asking for some justice.

Sylika loses the trail twice, but quickly finds it again. The desert flats are as harsh and unforgiving as always. At the top of a ledge she sees something strange. The tracks she is following definitely end here, and there is a single cloaked figure collapsed on the ground.

Sylica puts 'Veronskia' away and cautiously approaches the figure, after she surveys the area, chacking for traps or an ambush, she kneels down next to the figure putting away 'Sylica' and taking out a large canteen of water from her pack. She sets it next to her and examines the figure, checking for vital signs.

The figure is a tall human male with medium black hair and pale skin. He is breathing, but definitely unconscious. After trying to help him drink some water, Sylica can immediately tell that she doesn't have the medical knowledge to help this guy.
He appears in good shape, but curiously he doesn't have any visible weapons or other defenses, and she is unable to see a visible Kymere Core.

'Huh, poor bastard doesn't have a core, no wonder he's not doing too good. Better take him to Indemni, they know a lot more about this kind of stuff than I do.' She thought to herself as she slung his arms over her shoulders,"come on big guy, lets get you to civilization." She then started her journey towards the town while giving the stranger a piggyback ride.

The journey takes her a few hours, and she has to stop and rest while carrying the heavy weight of the stranger. Later that day she catches sight of the biodome city.
((Thread continued in Indemni))
