((This is a thread of events that have already happened. As a note to anyone reading them, this thread was moved here from another location, so I have posted the dice rolls as they originally were in the thread where they were first rolled instead of rerolling them))
((Everyone be ok with a 5 round fight? We could do longer, but I wouldn't want to go much shorter so we have time to get in all the RPing we want.
Oh, and obviously Licht will be taking a zero until he actually decides to use his powers and join in the fight. I'll still post that for him with every dice roll for clarification.
We'll handle the captain's powers being neutralized by Joka's after the first exchange, I think. So for the first round at least I'm going to roll as normal with him.))

((5 rounds then. I believe both Faldr and Maya have a +1 combat modifier, and I'm pretty sure everyone's using their powers at this point. We've decided to incorporate her lackeys as a situational modifier bonus on Joka's part, so that we don't have to worry about so many extra rolls every round. So we'll say that gives her another +2, and she has a +2 on her own, so for this fight she'll have a +4. Yikes! One more post in the regular thread and I believe we're ready to start.))

Faldr hardly took notice of the others that joined the woman as he charged. He only had his sights set for her. He would make her suffer like his cadets had. His sword flashed as he carelessly cut down one of her men that tried to get in his way. His Kymere core pulsed under his jacket on his right shoulder, casting a reddish glow on that side of his face.
With his free left hand he scooped up a handful of debris and fanned it out in his hand like a set of cards. He felt the rubble sharpen like knives under his core's influence. He leapt over the bodies of his fallen comrades with a cry of pure rage, sending the knife-like debris and his own sword flying toward the face with every ounce of his power, aiming to cut the mocking smile from her very face.

Her Kymere core flared again and with a motion she bent the metal debris that was headed towards her face inward on itself so it became nothing more than an annoyance. She made a tsking noise and sidestepped him. Joka manipulated the metal in the bones of his chest so that they tightened. If he were to move she could crush his heart quite easily. That wouldn't be much fun though.
For now she just wanted to stop him in his tracks. She began to walk around him surveying. "Now now no need to be so grumpy. That's not nice at all. My you're an interesting one. You'll be fun to play with. It's almost as if you've been gift wrapped just for me!"
She giggled like a little girl and clapped her hands further proof that she was just plain bat shit add that to dangerous and you have one hell of a problem. She released her hold on his chest moving well out of the way. Manipulating the metal in his leg bones she hoped to cause him to trip.

Licht bent the light around himself and closed his eye, praying no one would notice the strange looking section of the wall. He didn't have a lot of light to work with down here.
No. This couldn't be happening. No. No. Technists fighting Technists? Why? He had left to escape this kind of thing. Who were these people? Why were they fighting them? Why would she-
Faldr gasped for air as the iron hands gripping his chest seemed to subside. He whirled to face her once more and his legs wouldn't respond to his brain. He toppled forward and landed on his face.
In his rage he had completely forgotten a basic combat rule. Assess your opponent before engaging them. What was this woman? How was she doing this?
He tried to pry himself off the ground to his feet. "As fifth security division captain of Cathedral defense," he gasped "I demand you explain yourself and submit yourself for trial for your crimes."

Maya saw two of the woman's minions closing in on the captain as he charged recklessly. "Uh uh boys. Don't even think about it." She growled lowly at them, giving them vertigo, causing disorientation and nausea. One of them tripped but the other caught himself, swaying and holding his head in attempt to reorient himself. All of a sudden the one still standing turned, seemingly unaffected, and advanced toward her. Startled, she barked in his direction, sending a burst of dense sonic energy at him. The energy hit the man full on in the chest, breaking outward across his body. It tore through where it hit and he began bleeding profusely. A point blank focused sonic boom like that would have broken his sternum and likely burst his ear drums. 'He's not dead, but he's suffering greatly,' she thought gleefully as he was pushed backward and fell to the ground. The other one was getting to his feet now, so she sang a lullaby to put him to sleep. He paused momentarily where he was, but shook his head and like the other, seemed unaffected. Maya felt uncertain now. Why weren't her abilities working properly. Was her core malfunctioning? The sonic boom seemed to work where the others didn't. So if her subtle powers weren't going to work, she might have to go on the offensive.

((round 2 Licht still taking a zero. Captain is fairly incapacitated and at her mercy so he's just going to be at a zero too, considering it wouldn't really matter what he rolled.))

Joka laughed when he spoke. "That's cute. What makes you think I care about Cathedrals laws? Zynth-Co made me who I am and I am quite finished submitting to them. I like it out here. I think I'll stay. The question remains Captain whether I should let you go back. All that nice metal to play with. I just don't know. I don't think you should be getting up just yet." She put more pressure on the metal in his leg bones.
Zekran made his way out of the remains of an old alleyway. The core on his left forearm flared. He directed the energy from it toward Maya to interrupt what she was doing with sound. He watched his boss for a moment with the Captain and looked unphased. Joka though out of her mind was effective. He stepped over the fallen body of one of his comrades without so much as a thought. Damn amateurs. There would always be more. "She'll kill him you know and with a great deal of pleasure. Not a good day to come here. She loves to watch things die and the more you kill her own the more likely she'll rip him to pieces." A hood shaded his face.

Maya watched the newcomer approach, noticing his core glowing. She flicked her hair and smirked, eerily similar to the crazy bitch that had her captain disabled. Now that she could see him, she could figure out a way to deal with him. "So you're the one interrupting me," she beamed at him, laughing. "How interesting." She glanced over at the captain and shrugged, as if unimpressed, then turned her full attention to the cloaked person before her, eyes dancing in delight. "I imagine she cares for her underlings like I care for comrades. They are only fun to play with until you get bored with them. Then they entertain you with their deaths. We seem to have much in common. Too bad we're standing on opposite sides of the battlefield." She hummed, three times as intense as usual, hoping to overcome his abilities and disarm him with very pleasurable vibrations.

Faldr writhed in pain as his bones felt like they were twisting out from under him. "You... you willingly abandon Cathedral." He laughed "For this?!" He made as broad a sweeping gesture as he could while his own body convulsed against him. "Oh yeah, quite a kingdom you've got here, your majesty. Please let me borrow your decorator." He coughed and blood dribbled out of the corner of his mouth. Damn. She must have done more than he'd thought already. He had to think of some way out of this.
Licht heard the sound of combat around him but still couldn't bring himself to look up. "I know. I know." He muttered aloud to no one in particular. He couldn't... he shouldn't... but if they...

Joka sighed and tapped her foot visibly not amused. "Oh do shut up. You talk too much. You should do less of that." Joka began to sing in the same kind of crooning voice you'd use to soothe a frightened child and at the same time she manipulated the metal around his rib cage to crack them one by one with excruciating slowness. Then she began to work on each finger of each hand.
"Nice try." He deflected the pulses with static like a weapon bouncing off a shield. "I never said that she cares for them. Only that she'll kill your comrades if you kill hers. It's a game to her you see. Eye for an eye. If you don't care for your comrades then I suppose it would not bother you if the dear captain met his demise. Hey Boss, he means nothing to this one."
Joka sent pieces of metal flying toward both of them with a snarl. "I'm playing mustn't interrupt me." Zekran dodged the flying metal and narrowly avoided being knocked off his feet. One of the pieces was about the size of a metal staff and he picked it up advancing on Maya.

Maya frowned at his lack of reaction to the waves. "You're determined to make it difficult for me, aren't you?" She said in a joyous sing-song voice that didn't match her expression.
"You've got me all wrong dear heart. I never said I didn't care for them. I only said she cares for underlings as I care for comrades." Her mouth contorted into a mockery of a smile. "These men are not my comrades. They belong to me, and I do so hate broken playthings. It's quite inconvenient to have to fix them." She paused to stare at the dark shadow that was his face under the hood. "And those who break other people's things are vandals, you know, and deserve to be punished," she scolded, stepping back to avoid the metal thrown in their direction without missing a beat in her speech. She didn't notice that it nicked her arm, ripping the sleeve of her dress.
While speaking, she sent the vibrations of her voice through her body and into the ground, causing it to tremble like an earthquake. 'He can't stop me using my own body as a conduit.' She hoped to knock him off balance. She noted peripherally that it did knock over the other minion that was attacking her earlier. Sneaking a hand behind her back, she grasped the handles of two thin daggers hidden in her corset.
